I am a capital markets and restructuring attorney and a seasoned advisor to private and public sector clients. I advise underwriters, sponsors, and issuers on all things money, debt and equity across the EMEA region.

My passion lies at the intersection of public and private interests in the financial markets. How to balance these interests under a specific set of circumstances? Complex negotiations in sovereign debt restructurings are one example of this difficult and highly political balancing act. The topic of my Ph.D., the too-big-to-fail problem, is another.

I have taught the experimental classes "Reimagining the Eurozone" at the Trento Festival of Economics and "Foundations of Money and Banking" at the International University College of Turin and I blog as Plumber in a Pantsuit.  Since May 2024, I have been a board member of the Monetärer Workshop e.V.
